ARTWORK SPECIFICATIONS


All Orders $500 [(net) before S&H] qualify for FREE preproduction proof. We provide an actual pre production sample and photograph in high resolution against a white background. The item is available to ship directly to the recipient.
Orders UNDER the $500 minimum for free proof are billed as listed below.

ART SPECIFICATIONS

Artwork must be provided as vector art or high quality JPG, PNG or GIF. Vector art must be submitted as .AI or .PDF files created in Adobe Illustrator CS5 for PC. All fonts must be converted to outlines or curves. Templates can be found online at www.LadyFortunes.com or by emailing [email protected]

Virtual Proof

Add $10 (NET) per artwork ( virtual proof is a digital rendering of your product for placement and general reference)

Pre Production Proof

Add $20 (NET) per artwork ( pre production proof is an actual sample of your product produced and photographed against a white background with an iPhone X or better).

PMS Color Match ( Sprinkles and Edible Inks)

PMS color match is available on sprinkles and direct print orders only. We assess a $35/color (net) base fee for PMS color matching. Stock colors will be offered where available as a match at no additional charge. Our factory will match PMS colors as closely as possible, however, due to different surfaces and methods of imprinting, colors may appear differently and there may be small degrees of variance.

CHARGES

Set Up Fees

We do not charge set up fees except where those fees are listed. We keep artwork on file for 1 year.

Artwork Recreation

To clean up, change, recreate or create art is $80 per hour, with a 1/2 hour minimum. We recommend our clients to send in camera-ready artwork to avoid art charges. We use independent graphic designers for artwork and design. Typical turnaround is 24-48 hours ( business hours) .

Artwork With Bleed

Artwork with bleed must be formatted properly with a 0.25" bleed around the edges. Bleed should also be indicated in the notes and/or artwork instructions to ensure that bleed is included.

Direct Print Cookies- Centering

Due to machine intolerances, imprints may be off center. Add 60% up-charge per piece to ensure that each item will be perfectly centered .

Artwork With Mainly Dark Colors

We do not recommend artwork with predominantly dark backgrounds. Such logos may bleed due to the concentration of edible water based inks bleeding into lighter areas.
In addition, predominantly dark logos tend to stain teeth and tongue, especially black or dark blue or green colors.

We recommend ordering a sample prior to production to ensure the integrity of the printed product as well as to test edible ink transfer for aesthetic purposes.
Dark background logos can be inverted or lightened. See Artwork Recreation above for more information on our services.

All art must be uploaded to our servers via Jotform. We do not accept ZIP files. Please be sure to identify your artwork by submitting it with your Order number and/or Purchase Order number referenced in the Form.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Hours

Customer service hours are 9am - 5pm PST, Monday-Friday. All orders must be sent via e-mail or placed directly online, no phone orders are accepted. To avoid duplication, please indicate if order was previously sent. Factory cannot be responsible for duplicate orders. Order acknowledgements will be sent for each purchase order to the email indicated on the PO.

Payments

Factory accepts company checks, wire transfer, and credit card (MasterCard, Visa and American Express). A processing charge will be added for credit card use ( 3% Visa/MasterCard and 3.5% Amex). Net 30 terms may be granted upon approval of credit application. A reseller application is required for all wholesale/reseller accounts.

Minimum Order Requirement

Factory has a minimum order value requirement of $100(Z). In addition, if less than the minimum quantity of a product is ordered, there will be a $60(V) less than minimum charge.

Production Time

Our factory takes orders on a "first-come-first-serve basis. Production time varies based on the Order Dollar Amount. Typically, orders between $100-$500 net before S&H required 1-3 working days while orders between $500 - $1,000 require 3-5 working days. Orders over $1,000 net before S&H are quoted on production time. Production time starts after art approval unless otherwise noted. A complete purchase order with all pertinent information is required along with approval of art to begin production.

Changes & Cancellations

Cancellations or changes to orders must be submitted in writing. All sales are final at the time of acknowledgement of sale and cannot be cancelled without payment. To maintain delivery schedules, we begin artwork followed by production promptly after receipt of the acknowledgement of sale. Therefore, you will be responsible for the cost of all labor, goods and production work incurred under any order cancelled after the acknowledgment of sale; full payment is due within five days of receipt of our invoice. Any type of order change may result in a delay to the original scheduled ship date. If adding to an order that is already produced but not shipped, a new purchase order is required, and the additional pieces will be produced based on the current production schedule and pricing for that quantity.

Rush Service

Rush service is available on most products with an additional charge. Contact factory for pricing.

Overruns/Underruns

Factory reserves the right to ship within 5% over or under the original order quantity and bill accordingly.

Claims & Returns

Claims must be made within 10 days of receipt of merchandise. Returns must be approved in advance by obtaining a return authorization number from customer service. All claims for goods damaged in transit must be made with the carrier.

Trademark Usage

All copy or other material submitted by the customer for use by the factory in producing items ordered, whether or not artwork required by the factory is required therewith, will be accepted by the plant as being submitted in full compliance with all applicable laws, regarding trademark, service mark, copyright, right of privacy patent or similar protection. The customer, by submitting such a copy or other material, represents that the use thereof by the factory will not violate any such laws in the use of the customer’s copy or other material. The customer hereby agrees to hold factory harmless to any damages and/or expenses when they arise under all such laws as consequence of factory’s use of said copy or other material or the operations undertaken by this agreement. RANDOM SAMPLES

Sample orders totaling less than $10 (Z) will be billed at no charge, however we will require your UPS or FedEx shipper number for freight. Samples must be order ONLINE via our website via a valid Wholesale/Reseller Account.

PRE-PRODUCTION SAMPLE:

Orders totaling OVER $500 (NET) before S&H get ONE free pre-production sample made and photographed in high resolution for approval prior to production. Orders UNDER our $500 (NET) before S&H are assessed a $20 (Z) fee PLUS any applicable set up fees PER item PER run.
Production time begins AFTER written approval of the preproduction sample. Set up fees are not refundable if order is cancelled.

SPEC SAMPLES

Spec samples are $100 (V). This fee will be deducted from the invoice if an order is placed.

ORDER LEAD TIMES


CAN I MODIFY MY ORDER OR PO AFTER IT IS PLACED?

We do not permit order modifications once orders have been pulled and processed. We do not modify orders once they have been placed. Any type of order modification change may result in a delay to the original scheduled ship date or delivery date. If adding to an order that is already produced but not shipped, a new purchase order is required, and the additional pieces will be produced based on the current production schedule and pricing for that quantity.
If, however, it is still; early in the order process, you can contact us to change or modify your order: we will do our best to help modify an order, but modifications are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for orders that ship as per the original order or PO.

WHY ARE SHIPPING AND HANDLING FEES SEPARATE?

Shipping and handling fees are technically separatecosts. Shipping is the price of sending an order through the mail or with another delivery carrier. Handling fees are the costs of the materials, time and labor to prepare an order.
Normally, we quote and subsequently charge a shipping and handling fee together. We calculate freight via our preferred carrier and add our materials and labor fees.
Historically, we have always considered S&H separate from the product.

WHY DO SOME COMPANIES NOT CHARGE HANDLING, AND IN SOME CASES NOT CHARGE SHIPPING EITHER?
Some companies do not charge handling fees because they are already calculated into the case cost. In those circumstances, the companies only sell by the case: where a customer requests to order above or below a case quantity, the company may charge a "broken case fee" or simply not do it at all.
At Lady Fortunes, we encourage our customers to buy the quantities they want, rather than making them buy in cases. That is why we cannot build the cost of the materials and labor into packing because we would either over or undercharge based on unique quantities ordered.

WHAT ABOUT THIRD PARTY SHIPPING WHERE I USE MY OWN ACCOUNT?
In circumstances where our customers request to use their own shipper number (UPS or FedEx) - or ship via freight on pallets, we add the cost of the handling to the invoice. We add those costs to our order confirmation and send it via email. We expect any issues raised prior to shipment as we do not remove these charges unless otherwise agreed upon prior to production.
